Okay.. So I've been a huge monster for most of Lady Gagas career.. And Her first album, The Fame I loved. I just thought it was fun And one that really changed music. 10/10. Then came The Fame Monster. Still good. But not my favorite. 8/10. Now its the Born This Way era.. and as much as I don't like to admit it, I don't like it. The songs just aren't as fun or catchy. 4/10. And now she's releasing Marry The Night. There's a lot of people that think that this song is just pure gold. A masterpiece. I don't. I think its dumb and unforgettable. Its not charting well and deep inside, I hope it doesn't. Because I want the old Gaga back. Any opinions?Lady Gaga and Marry The Night..?
You totally read my mind because that's my opinion too. Well, except the fact that I'm not a Gaga fan, but I admit that her first two albums were very entertaining, with Pokerface, Paparazzi, Lovegame, Bad Romance and others. Born This Way is the only good song from the new album, but still can not compare with The Fame. I think she wanted to try a more mature sound. She said in an interview that the album will be "the anthem of [this] generation". She continued: "It includes the greatest music I've ever written. I've already written the first single for the new album and I promise you, that this album is the greatest of my career''.
P.S. I hope her next album will not be like this one.Lady Gaga and Marry The Night..?

You need to realize that artists change and evolve all the time. If Picasso sat around his apartment painting the same subject matter we wouldn't have all of the wonderful pieces that are still around today. Musicians have to stay relevant and change and grow, and actually it's not even something that is consciously done, it just naturally happens with changing contextual viewpoints, and world outlook. Gaga's the same as she was when The Fame came out, I might even go as far as to say she's even more "Gaga-ier" than ever before.
