im looking at getting a ford focus but what engine sizes do they start from and go to?What engine sizes do ford focus start from and go to?I'm assuming you are meaning the UK Ford Focus, so if you're not ignore this.



The 1998-2005 model came with:



Petrol:

1.4 and 1.6 Zetec S

1.8 and 2.0 Zetec E

Uprated versions of the 2.0 (in the Focus ST170 and RS)



Diesel:

1.8 TDDi (up to late 2001)

1.8 TDCi (thereafter)



The 2005 on model comes with:



Petrol:

1.6 Zetec S (same engine as before but now normally called Duratec 16v)

1.6 TI-VCT (same engine as above but with variable valve timing, giving it an extra 15bhp)

1.8 and 2.0 Duratec HE

2.5 5 cyl (in the Focus ST)



Diesel:

1.6 and 2.0 TDCi (shared engines with the Peugeot / Citroen group)
