Why does my 2001 ford focus stall when it at stoplight and slow traffic?

i have a 2001 ford focus that i recently change the oil, spark plug, cables, and plus i flush the transmission. My car has 91,000 miles only and some people say it can be the idle or the timing belt. my car stall when im stuck in traffic and sometime in stoplight, but it turn right back on. what can be the problem. Why does my 2001 ford focus stall when it at stoplight and slow traffic? If the check engine light is not on, then it is not one of the monitored sensors. Many of the early Focus models had fuel pump problems. That would be my suspicion.

BTW, since you're approaching 100,000 miles, you should have the timing belt replaced soon. Around $200, depending on the labor rate in your area.

All the bestWhy does my 2001 ford focus stall when it at stoplight and slow traffic?Mike seems like you know some about these issues. I have the same problem as questioner, but my has engine light on and it is 2006 ford focus. I took it to the mech. and he told me to put injector cleaner, I did as he said and it help a little....

what about oxygen sensor???

Why does my 2001 ford focus stall when it at stoplight and slow traffic?probably the throttle positioning sensor bad, could also be the throttle body and fuel injectors need cleaning.
