Dont you feel that Adele and Lady Gaga are overrated?

Adele.She has amazing vocals.But others like Kelly Clarkson,Beyonce,Christina Aguilera too have.As a performer too,she's not that energetic.I don't find her new album THAT good tbh,it has some standout tracks and some are just boring.I dont see how it is selling millions and millions.Lady Gaga.Average vocalist and pianist.Her writing style is sometimes good,and sometimes just lame(like born this way,the song.Smh).She's considerably visionary too,but there's nothing SO outstanding.And they call her the current Queen Of Pop.



Aren't they getting more than what they deserve?Or is it just that there are no better people in industry right now?Dont you feel that Adele and Lady Gaga are overrated?
I think the thing is that they are so much more talented than 90% of the mainstream acts we have, so people get overly excited about them. Maybe they are slightly overrated because of that, but I still think they are great musicians.



Also, to whoever said Kelly has had her time, and it's time to move on, she just had a #1 country song, and she will be back on top of the pop charts in a few months.
Yep, finally someone who agrees with me. There are very talented vocalists around the world, but no one gives them that much recognition ( Janelle Monae is a good example for that case). Gaga will never reach Madonnas levels, as she麓s just a bad copy of her. And people say she麓s art. Adeles voice sounds boring and a bit too manly for me. Unfortunately, the industry doesn麓t search for REAL talent, but for easily manipulative people who will do anything their manager tells them to in order to sell more records to their main fansbase, lonely ( sometimes outcast)teens that buy anything as long as it is sold as art. But under the surface, those artists often lack talent and are just plastic puppets.Dont you feel that Adele and Lady Gaga are overrated?
I totally agree with you, Lady Gaga is so overrated. I think we are seriously losing in this generation, our Queen of Pop wears dresses made out of meat and crawls out of embryos while previous generations had legends like Elvis and The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.



Adele is a bit better, although i agree in her album there is only one or two tracks that stand out.
Lady Gaga i really dont care for but Adele isn't overrated. her voice and music is just different from other pop stars. and when your music gets played on both rock and pop radio stations then you know your good. and i'm not just saying this because i'm also a dancer, i genuinly like her musicDont you feel that Adele and Lady Gaga are overrated?
So sick of them and Katy Perry so tired of hearing them over and over that's the problem with radio where i live as well as tv so limited as to what gets played all bubble gum pop or dance music no variety all sound the same esp. katy perry song's just c**p.
People always complain when someone makes it big. Im not into either of them but I have nothing against them, Im just not a fan.

No. I actually don't. Adele, maybe, but she's famous because she's the only singer from the UK to make it big in YEARS. Lady Gaga is not a bad singer and she's actually a really good pianist. People like Gaga because you never know what she's gonna do next. Like when she sang Orange Colored Sky, a jazz song, at BBC'S Big Weekend. She also stands up for equal rights and has been named most influential woman for a reason. She was the main reason why DADT was repealed, she dared to show up at the Grammy's with ex-army members (fired because they were gay,) and to give one of the best performances in Japan's and UK's history. She's not just a singer like Christina or Beyonce, she's a full act. She plans out story lines for her tours, as if they were a play, she give occult meanings to everything she does, her stage performances are outstanding and so it the equipment. When have you ever seen someone play a Unicorn Piano or a Spider Piano? I don't know much about Adele, to be honest, she's pretty boring on stage. I think she's famous because you don't see people with a little extra-weight nowadays. All you see are anorexic bitches in bikinis or no clothes at all.
No I don't think they're overrated. But wether you like them or not comes down to personal preference. I like Adele for example in that she has personality. She is no barbie-girl and she has an amazing voice. I'm an avid Little Monster and I love the show GaGa backs it up with.

So no, they aren't getting more than they deserve. The things they're getting is simply because of their rapid success and avid fan-base.

If you like others, go for it and support them but don't go attacking them simply because they seem to get more. Most of these things are fleeting anyways. Kelly Clarkson has had her time, time to move on. Same goes for Christina and Beyonc茅 though they get some extra attention every now and then when they've done something new. Eventually Adele and GaGa will have had their attention time and will have to make room for the next generation of celebs.

If you think Adele and GaGa are overrated, that's your opinion, others might not think so. Just get to peace with the situation and let it be. Support your favorites wherever possible.
