Where can I find information about the world's best Ford technicians?

I have heard that there is a "ranking" system by which a Ford technician's skill level is measured. Is there a website that gives details about this and possibly who in the world (or at least in the USA) has achieved the highest level? Thanks!Where can I find information about the world's best Ford technicians?Yeah there is a competition that Ford holds every year but it is only open to Ford Master technicians who pass a written and then go on to a hands on challenge winding up at nationals. He would have had to place there (and he would have been gone alot to compete) to be recognized.



However there is no real ranking place of Ford technicians that I know of..and I've been a dealer wrench for 10 years at Ford.



Besides, each technician has their own specialty... a overall tech is extremely hard person to find.



Senior master is the elite of Ford technician certification..with diesel is even harder (one of my co-workers attained that.. I'm still working on mine) ..So if he isn't at least master technician yet, he's dreaming of the ranking system.



And I haven't heard of any super techs from Ford like svoman says (and I've dealt pretty much up the supply chain in resolving issues). Most I have dealt with are people who have 4 years of college and some wrench experience. (as Ford won't even talk to you without 4 years of college)



You don't need to be ASE certified to work for Ford dealers, but to attain certain certifications from Ford you do... I could throw all of my stuff around but I don't ......

there are hundreds of techs sharing the #1 spot because once you are master certified all you can do is get another master cert in a different area. once you are master certified in everything there is nowhere else to go... but the new stuff keeps you on your toes.Where can I find information about the world's best Ford technicians?
Ford's highest rating is Senior Master Tech. That means master rating in all the areas available. There is a competition for the ultimate Ford tech, but the winner changes each year, and is not really relevant. If you can find a Senior Master Tech to work on your vehicle, you can be assured that he has at least a solid training background. Of course, nothing is better than lots of experience to go along with the training. There are a lot of Senior Master Techs now, but the first year there wasn't that many. There is no such thing as a good Ford technician. It's not their fault, they try hard but the source material is not giving them a chance. It's just like polishing a turd, no matter how much you polish it, it's still a turd.
