How does the 2010 Ford Focus handle in snow?

I'm looking at getting a new car with good gas mileage and I really like the new Ford Focus. However, I live in Michigan and we get a lot of snow. We are due for some hard winters and we probably will get really deep snow. I would rather not get stuck in the snow and have to push my car around. Thanks! How does the 2010 Ford Focus handle in snow?the focus, like most front wheel drive cars, is relatively good in the snow since the engine weight is directly over the drive wheels. with a good set of blizzack snow tires on the front it should serve you well.

the one thing that would be tough is when the snow is deep and the roads aren't plowed. when it's like that you need ground clearance and you really won't find that with any cars!

you could consider an all wheel drive car...but it doesn't solve the ground clearance problem and cost considerably more than a normal 2 wheel drive car.

also, just a suggestion, before you buy new compare used.

the new car dealers ARE offering some nice prices to clear out inventory...but if you can buy the same thing with 20k miles on it you might find you can save alot!

good luck!!How does the 2010 Ford Focus handle in snow?
I have a 2004 Focus that I've driven through five Michigan winters (in metro Detroit) so far. It handles pretty well, and I haven't gotten stuck in the snow even once. I imagine the 2010 will be similar if not better handling. Obviously it doesn't have as much ground clearance as a truck, so if you want to drive in very deep unplowed snow, I don't think it would be a first choice, but for normal slushy snowy streets and freeways it's fine. How does the 2010 Ford Focus handle in snow? It's front wheel drive so the control will be there and make you feel safer. It's not AWD though so there may be times when it takes awhile to get enough traction to get up to speed, but I'm assuming you'd rather have that than a rear wheel drive car that has really touchy control.

It should be fine though as long as you aren't driving through banks that are two feet high. How does the 2010 Ford Focus handle in snow?
As long as your careful, and drive the correct speed for the conditions, any car will do fine. The Focus is a front wheel car and will perform well in snow. How does the 2010 Ford Focus handle in snow? The Focus handles great in snow. Be sure to get 4 good snow tires and you'll be fine.
