P.S. Are you removing an RDS CD-Cassette Radio? Does your display work? My unit's display works when it feels like it. Same with the volume control. It's a great radio when it works, unfortunately that is only about 25% of the time. How do i take out my stock radio in my 1999 ford explorer to put a aftermarket deck in?Install-dr.com should have the info on removal...you may need a special tool to remove the radio or try a coat hanger. How do i take out my stock radio in my 1999 ford explorer to put a aftermarket deck in?you need a special tool go to ford they can sell you oneHow do i take out my stock radio in my 1999 ford explorer to put a aftermarket deck in?
all you need is a wire hanger, break it into two pieces about 8" each, then you want to bend them into "U" shapes, insert each end into the holes (you will feel a "click") and while applying outward pressure (left and right) pull the radio outwards (towards you), you can save your money on those "keys" that will be lost or never used again
